What is a WebQuest?

A WebQuest is "an inquiry-oriented activity in which some or all of the information that learners interact with comes from resources on the Internet." A WebQuest provides a way for teachers to integrate the Internet into the classroom. Each WebQuest presents clearly defined objectives as well as specific links related to the topic.

What should I do with a WebQuest?

The choices are limitless. Adapt one to your classroom, or write one up yourself to suit your specific needs. They can be used in the classroom or in the lab. In addition to the Internet resources, you can also use whatever else you have access to-library resources, guest speakers, field trips-the sky is the limit!!!

What if I don't know how to make a web page?

Use a word processor to type up the information and URL's (addresses) of the sites you want to use and run off "hard copies" for the students. Once you perfect it, you could then learn how to do a web page ( take the workshop Tom and I offer) and it can be linked to our school site. Or if you are really desperate-we accept MasterCard ;-) .
