The Rain Lily is one of the most elusive of the Organ Mountains desert wildflowers. We have come on
them only rarely, and at widely separated points in the eastern and western foothills, always after heavy
late spring rains. Each plant generally has only a single blossom, and these are small and easy to miss.

Western foothills, Organ Mountains, New Mexico (Early May).
