When exactly the proper conditions of late winter or early spring rains and calm winds occur, great stands of
Mexican Goldpoppies occur in areas around the Organ Mountains. In some areas, one may find variations
in coloration ranging from pure white through all manner of combinations on white, golden yellow, and orange.
